Through its State Giving Program, the Walmart Foundation supports non-profit programs that enable people to live better. The Foundation has 4 areas of focus: Workforce Development/Economic Opportunity, Health and Wellness, Environmental Sustainability, and Education - which includes programs that address the educational needs of under-served young people ages 12-25. Education programs should focus on high school success, adolescent literacy, access and retention of first-generation college students, and teacher retention.
