Garrett A. Morgan Technology and Transportation Education Program
Funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Garrett A. Morgan Technology and Transportation Education Program is designed to improve the preparation of students, particularly women and minorities, in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through curriculum development and other activities related to transportation. Grants may be used for enhancing STEM education at the elementary and secondary school level through internships that offer students experience in the transportation field, programs that allow students to spend time observing scientists and engineers in the transportation field, and developing relevant curriculum that uses examples and problems related to transportation. Ten recipients will each receive $100,000.
