Horace Mann - Abraham Lincoln Fellowship
Horace Mann and the ALPLM have teamed up to offer 50 teachers the opportunity to study the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln. The fellowship is open to any K-12 teacher, although the curriculum is geared toward teachers of students in grades 4-12. The fellowship features two five-day programs, one in June and one in July 2010, at the ALPLM in Springfield, Illinois. It includes complimentary round-trip transportation, lodging, and most meals. No special knowledge of history or Lincoln is required. Residents of Kentucky, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York and Hawaii are not eligible to participate.
