James Madison Graduate Fellowships
Through a national competition, the James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation will offer James Madison Fellowships to a select group of individuals who desire to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution. Eligible applicants include high school teachers of American history, American government, and social studies. College seniors and graduate students planning teaching careers in those subjects are also eligible. James Madison Fellows are expected to complete a Master of Arts (MA), Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), or Master of Education (Med) with an emphasis on American history, government, political science, or other relevant concentration. The maximum amount of each award will be $24,000.
