UMass Nanotechnology Summer Institute
Sponsored by the STEM Education Institute and the Center for Hierarchical Manufacturing, the UMass Nanotechnology Summer Institute explores the basic science and engineering concepts of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and illustrates how they may be integrated into the usual STEM courses in middle and high schools. The Institute will run from June 28 - July 2, 2010 at UMass Amherst. Participants will receive $75/day stipends, materials, parking, lunches, housing and meals, free professional development points, and ongoing partnerships with UMass faculty.
