Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Prize in Education
The Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Prize in Education annually recognizes outstanding individuals who have dedicated themselves to improving education in this country. Nominations should showcase the people who help students develop the knowledge and skills to function as workers, citizens, and fulfilled individuals in an increasingly interconnected world. Three winners will be chosen in each of three categories: policy makers, higher education, and school-based personnel (i.e. teachers, principals, and curriculum specialists who have introduced global awareness into K-12 schools, promoted partnerships with schools in other countries, or organized teaching of foreign languages). Each winner will receive a gift of $25,000 and a bronze sculpture.
