• Anthem Essay Contest

The Ayn Rand Institute awards cash prizes to students who demonstrate an outstanding grasp of the philosophic meaning of "Anthem." Its annual essay contest requires eligible participants to be in the 9th or 10th grade and to write an essay about Ayn Rand's novelette, "Anthem." One first prize winner will receive $2,000, 5 second prize winners will receive $500, and 10 third prize winners will receive $200. In addition, 45 finalists and 175 semifinalists will each receive $50 and $30 in cash rewards, respectively.
