• Hutton Program

The Hutton Junior Fisheries Biology Program is a summer mentoring program for high school students sponsored by the American Fisheries Society. The principal goal of the program is to stimulate interest in careers in fisheries science and management among groups underrepresented in the fisheries professions, including minorities and women. Application to the program is open to all 11th and 12th grade high school students. Students selected for the program will be matched with a professional mentor in their area for a summer-long, hands-on experience in a marine or freshwater setting. A scholarship of $3,000 will also be awarded to each student accepted into the program.
